On January 6, the No.3 heating furnace of the 2250mm Hot Rolling Heating Furnace Upgrading Project of Hansteel Hanbao Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. was successfully ignited. CERI is the generator contractor of the works.

The Hansteel Hanbao 2250mm hot rolling production line is the fourth 2250mm hot rolled wide strip steel production line reaching the international advanced level following the projects built by Wuhan Iron & Steel, Taiyuan Iron & Steel, and Masteel in China. It mainly produces automobile steel, ship structural steel and high weather resistance structural steel, and can also produce high value-added hot rolled dual-phase steel, multi-phase steel, transformation induced plastic steel and high strength pipe steel. Hansteel Hanbao Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. is upgrading 4 heating furnaces, and CERI Phoenix Industrial Furnace Co., Ltd. is the general contractor. The upgrading of No.1 and No.2 heating furnaces has completed, and now the two furnaces are in stable operation. The upgrading of No.4 heating furnace will be implemented soon.
