At 3:08 am on Dec. 2nd,  project about No.1 converter with 120t overhaul renovation designed by CERI in Lingyuan Iron&Steel Group Co., Ltd started HFT of No.1 converter. At 3:58 am, the converter was tapping smoothly, which marked the successful operation of this project.

The project is designed by CERI, the main process facilities include No.1 converter with 120t, No.1 LF refining furnace and supporting double-strand slab casting machine. the design solution fully reflects the energy-green idea, a serial of advanced production processes and equipment like Multiple Hot Metal Ladle Process, combined blown coverter steelmaking process and lower hanging structure, lance on-line quick replacement technology, sub-lance technology, sonar slagging device, slag splashing technology and ladle automatic capping have been selected, and perfect dust removal system is equipped, which can effectively realize clean production, improve the usage rate of energy resources, reduce the consumption of materials and energy and  pollutant production.

Complete technologies and equipment of converter fuel gas heat recovery with international advanced high-efficiency and long-life from CERI have been adopted for this project, such as patented converter vaporization equipment with independent intellectual property rights like ball heat accumulator, integrated long-acting deaerator, straight-down multi-filter cleaner at the front of pump, anti-blocking device for heating pipe, flexible device for movable skirt, follow sealing of movable skirt, environmental-friendly periodic decontamination capacity expansion,etc.  

Project about No.1 converter with 120t overhaul renovation in Lingyuan Iron&Steel Group Co., Ltd was successfully put into operation, which will better satisfy with the production demand of hot wide strip in Lingyuan Steel, and improve the quality and competitiveness of wide products, to realize the target of intelligent production, ultra-low discharge and green development.
