On July 7, with neat and bright steel coil of 0.8mm×1,000mm slowly rolling off the line, No. 2 rolling mill of Shanxi Jianlong successfully produced the first qualified commercial coil. After the No. 1 rolling mill was smoothly put into operation, the hot test of the No. 2 rolling mill was successfully undertaken, marking that the cold rolling mill of Shanxi Jianlong generally contracted by CERI has entered the final sprint stage of production.

The No. 2 rolling mill of Shanxi Jianlong is a six-high reversible cold rolling mill, which is one of the core process equipment of Shanxi Jianlong's 1,500mm cold rolling project (phase I). The specification of finished steel strip produced by this unit is 0.16-2.50mm × 900-1,350 mm, the maximum speed of the unit can reach 1,200 m/min, and the annual output is about 240,000 tons. The unit adopts the domestically most advanced technology and equipment, which represents the highest level of single-stand cold rolling unit in China.
