On March 5, the 1,320 m³ No.2 blast furnace, constructed by CERI as the general contractor, for the Blast Furnace Capacity Replacement and Supporting Facilities Renovation Project of Lianfeng Steel (Zhangjiagang) Co., Ltd. was successfully ignited. On March 6, the first batch of molten iron gushed out from the taphole of the blast furnace, marking that the Blast Furnace Project was put into operation smoothly. To facilitate a seamless transition in production capacity, the 1,320 m³ No.2 blast furnace for the Capacity Replacement Project of Lianfeng Steel adopted a phased-out approach synchronized with the progress of new construction.
