On January 6, the drive system improvement project for the heavy plate line of Xinyu Iron & Steel Co., Ltd., which was designed and commissioned by CERI Digital Technology Co., Ltd. was successfully put into production. This project marks another successful instance of domestic substitution of CERI VFD in the heavy plate production line, following the successful improvement project at Baoshan Base of Baosteel.

The core equipment of the improved heavy plate production line mainly includes the key equipment in the rolling mill area such as screw-down, screw-in, hot plate leveller, and steel roller table, which has high requirements for the performance of drive devices. The CERI VFD utilizes a 4-core ARM main control chip with a localization rate of 80%. It is designed with the controller separated from the modular power unit and can be quickly replaced within 15 minutes. Compared with the previous generation, the upgraded new CERI VFD product features performance improved by 60%, power consumption reduced by 50%, and excellent control performance indexes. With intelligent functions such as fault data recording and analysis, intelligent predictive maintenance, and load observation, it stands as the core of intelligent equipment in the industrial field and metallurgical industry.

The improvement was conducted within one week during the year-end overhaul of the production line. With rich experience in project management and professional control technology capabilities, the project team of CERI Digital Technology Co., Ltd. completed the improvement in only four days and avoided the unplanned shutdown of the production line. It was highly recognized by the employer.
