At the beginning of the new year, the Beijing Engineering Exploration and Design Association and China National Association of Engineering Consultants have successively released award announcements, recognizing 16 projects by CERI and marking a prosperous beginning for these awarded projects.

Three projects, namely "2,700 KTA High-quality Special Steel Project of Linyi Iron and Steel Investment Group Special Steel Co., Ltd.", "PPP Project for Water System Comprehensive Treatment in Xindian Area of Fuzhou" and "Full Automatic Control System for Aviation Grade Titanium Alloy Bar and Wire Production Line", received the Beijing Engineering Exploration and Design Association's accolade of Outstanding First-Class Design Achievements. Eleven projects, including the Converter Steelmaking Works of the Capacity Replacement and Supporting Project of Sansteel Minguang Co., Ltd., Fujian and Xi'an Underground Utility Tunnel Project, were awarded outstanding second and third-class design achievements respectively.

The "Feasibility Study Report on New Special Steel Project for Production Line Planning of Masteel Long Products" and the "Effect Evaluation Report on Raw Material Plot Restoration and Risk Control Works of Coking Plant in Shougang Park" received the China National Association of Engineering Consultants' recognition with the Third-Class Award for Outstanding Consulting Achievements.

Outstanding First-Class Design Achievements in Beijing

The project is located in Lingang Economic Development Zone, Linyi City, Shandong Province. It is a major construction project under the strategic planning and deployment of the "Advanced Manufacturing Base" by the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Shandong Province. The construction scale of the project encompasses 2.31 million tons of molten iron, 2.7 million tons of molten steel, 2.1 million tons of high-quality special steel bars and 438,000 tons of commercial billets. The project is the largest long-process high-quality special steel production base newly built in China in nearly a decade, setting a precedent in the metallurgical industry, being the first instance where a single engineering company undertakes, implements, and completes the full-process special steel base at one time.

Full Automatic Control System for Aviation Grade Titanium Alloy Bar and Wire Production Line

Outstanding First-Class Design Achievements in Beijing

The control system is applied to the first titanium alloy bar project of CERI, marking the first aviation-grade titanium alloy bar and wire continuous rolling production line in China. This production line addresses the "bottleneck" problem of relying on imports for high-quality aviation-grade bar and wire, achieving a breakthrough in "replacing forging with rolling" for large-sized, high-quality aviation-grade titanium alloy products. To tackle the problems of low automation in traditional domestic titanium alloy production lines and unstable product quality and low output caused by forging processes, a complete set of full-automatic control software has been developed for the innovative process equipment composition of titanium alloy bar and wire rod production line, ensuring the stable operation continuous temperature control and highly automated rolling production in the bar and wire production line.

CERI Jiayu Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CERI, successfully completed the assessment task through on-site surveys, sampling, assessment and analysis of 55 polluted plots for one and a half years. This accomplishment ensured safety and timely support for the smooth execution of the Beijing Winter Olympics and the China International Fair for Trade in Services.
