At 9:58 p.m. on November 17, the Jiyuan Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. Capacity Replacement No. 3 Blast Furnace Project contracted by CERI was successfully ignited. At 10:58 a.m. on November 18, the first molten iron gushed out of the blast furnace taphole, and the blast furnace project was put into operation smoothly.

The Project adopts CERI's advanced blast furnace design concepts, incorporating copper cooling walls in the high thermal load zone of the blast furnace. It utilizes advanced proprietary technologies such as furnace top equalizing gas full recovery technology, furnace top damping down and diffused gas recovery technology, and environment-friendly bottom filtration slag treatment. The Project is equipped with new and advanced automated and unmanned devices, including automatic slag grabbing in the water slag filter pool and automatic mud loading in front of the furnace. These advancements reduce labor intensity in harsh environments, improve work efficiency, and contribute to the low-carbon, energy-efficient production of Jiyuan Iron & Steel. The Project represents a step towards a greener, smarter, and unmanned new type of steel mill.
