On March 18, the 1580mm hot rolling line of Valin LY Steel under the EPC contract of CERI successfully rolled out the first coil of steel with a one-time hot test. The equipment of the project has been running stably and achieving expected goals since its production, receiving high praise from customers.

The 1580mm hot rolling line project of Valin LY Steel is situated at the forefront of product structure adjustment and strategic transformation of Hunan LY Steel Group. The 1580mm hot rolling line project is equipped with 3 heating furnaces, high-pressure water descaling box for the primary roughing mill, two-roller reversible roughing mill E1/R1 with auxiliary vertical rolls, four-roller reversible roughing mill E2/R2 with auxiliary vertical rolls, insulation covers, hot coil boxes, crop flying shears, high-pressure water descaling box for finishing mill, seven-stand finishing mill, strip steel cooling unit, and three underground coilers, satisfying the needs of the cold-rolled base plate, oriented silicon steel, engineering machinery steel, and hot-rolled automotive steel.
