On the morning of March 14, the No. 1 dephosphorization converter, No.2 refining furnace, and No.2 slab continuous caster in the No. 2 Steelworks of Relocation and Integration Project of HBIS Handan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd., which was contracted by CERI, completed the hot test in turn, marking the successful overall hot test of No. 2 Steelworks of HBIS Handan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd.

The steelworks of Relocation and Integration Project of HBIS Handan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. is independently integrated by CERI, which makes full use of the existing equipment of HBIS Handan Iron & Steel Co., reduces the construction investment while ensuring the advancement and reliability of the project, and provides high-quality solutions for the transformation, upgrading and green development of HBIS Handan Iron & Steel Co.

The No. 2 Steelworks includes 1 set of molten iron pretreatment facility, 2 sets of 100t converters, 1 set of 100t dephosphorization furnace, 2 sets of 100t LF refining furnaces, 1 set of 100t RH refining unit, 2 sets of single-strand slab continuous casters and 1 set of billet continuous caster. The project layout is compact, there is much old equipment to be used, there are many design and procurement management interfaces, the construction interface is complex, and the communication and coordination workload is heavy.
