  • CERI has completed hundreds of E and EPC projects, and won 10 national-level awards, 34 provincial-level awards and 8 provincial-level science and technology awards. Among them,  the stock yard of Tangsteel built in the 1980s won the Silver Prize of China Excellent Engineering Design Award, and the stock yard of Shougang Jingtang Iron & Steel built in 2009 won the Gold Prize of China Quality Engineering Design Award, reaching the international advanced level.

  • CERI has successfully developed China's first pulverized coal injection plant for blast furnace, achieving 100% bituminous coal injection for the first time, and exported the technology to POSCO (Korea), Paul Wurth Group (Luxembourg) and MECON (India). In 2007, the “National Code of Coal Injection Project for Blast Furnace” edited by CERI was published.

  • CERI has successfully developed the Cyclone Top-Combustion Type Hot Blast Stove, and has entered the international markets such as India, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia. In 2012, "the energy-saving technology of Cyclone Top-Combustion Type Hot Blast Stove with high blast temperature" with the characteristics of high blast temperature, high efficiency and long life was listed in the “Promotion Catalogue of National Key Energy-Saving Technologies”.

  • CERI designed the first set of manufacturing drawings of copper cooling stave in China and the first set of closed-circulation soft water cooling system in China. With the full cooling plate design, plate-stave combination design, combined cooling stave design, cross-flow tuyere and fully heat-conducting hearth structural system developed by CERI, CERI has increased the design life of blast furnace in China to more than 15 years, and has always been at the international leading level in terms of high efficiency and long life of blast furnace body.

  • The "pressure-equalizing gas recovery method and recovery device at blast furnace top" developed by CERI has filled the gap in this field in China, effectively solving the problems of toxic gas emissions and dust & noise pollution. It meets the increasingly strict requirements of environmental protection, and generates considerable economic benefits. In 2017, it was rated as one of the top ten technology highlights in the world steel industry.

  • The blast furnace slag treatment technology by bottom filtration method invented by CERI broke the monopoly of mechanical method in the field of slag treatment and rapidly occupied the market in China. In recent years, CERI has also developed the environmentally friendly bottom-filtration technology which integrates steam treatment, “white smoke” elimination technology and intelligent slag collection, which has won the Excellence Prize of China Patent Award and the First Prize of the Patent Award of China Association of Circular Economy.

  • As the earliest enterprise in China to study non-blast furnace ironmaking technology, CERI has completed the 2t/h COSRI Semi-Industrial Test Plant in the Chengde Pilot Plant of Ministry of Metallurgy, the 300,000t DRI Project of Tianjin Pipe Corporation and the 200,000t Two-Step Smelting Reduction Industrial Test Plant of Minmetals Yingkou. With the the dynamic models such as gas and power load forecasting model and power generation optimization control model, it improves energy utilization and realizes efficient energy management.

    In terms of its application effect, the self power generation ratio is increased by 3%, and the purchased electricity cost is greatly reduced; the comprehensive energy-saving benefit is increased by 0.3%, and the optimization rate of personnel on duty in the energy station is more than 30%.
