On December 29, 2022, the opening ceremony of Moutai Resort in Haitang Bay, Sanya, designed by CERI, was held, marking the start of the commercial operation of the hotel - CERI's representative design of high-end resort hotel.

Moutai Resort is located in Haitang Bay (one of the five major bay areas in Sanya), Hainan Island featuring beautiful coconut trees and sea. With a footprint area of 295 mu and a floor area of 150,000 square meters, it consists of high-end hotels and auxiliary buildings including a conference center and a water park. It is a garden-style tropical resort hotel cluster integrating accommodation, catering, conference, entertainment, cultural exhibition, liquor tasting and other functions. Integrating Moutai liquor culture and Sanya's coastal culture, the resort is a coastal tourist resort with unique regional characteristics, which is expected to provide new momentum for the recovery of Sanya's tourism and the growth of the service industry, and inject new vitality into the building of the free trade island and the international tourism island.

As the designer of the resort, CERI has fully leveraged its whole-process and all-discipline technical advantages led by high-end consulting and design, followed the design concept focusing on "culture, environmental protection and technology", applied its rich experience in hotel building design in the tropical natural environment, and achieved good economic and social benefits.

The conceptual design of the project adopted a multi-element combined hotel cluster building design, which solved the problem of energy consumption and energy saving of the E&M system of this very large hotel cluster, and successfully realized the in-depth application of BIM technology in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of a large public building project. Based on this project, CERI achieved leapfrog development in application of BIM technology to civil building design, and effectively applied the technology in subsequent projects such as Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Minmetals International Plaza, Handan Fushui Zuoan, and Hansteel Relocation and Integration Project. For this project, CERI won the second place of the Asia-Pacific Best Practices Awards of the Global Engineering Construction Industry Excellence BIM Competition, the second prize of the 10th "Innovation Cup" Building Information Modeling (BIM) Application Competition, and the Group Excellence Award of China Information Association, etc.
