On March 21, a commissioning ceremony was held for the No. 3 Blast Furnace Intermediate Maintenance Project at the Ironmaking General Plant of Tianjin Xintian Steel United Special Steel Co., Ltd., undertaken by Capital Engineering & Research Incorporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as CERI) as the general contractor. On the following day, the project successfully produced the first heat of hot metal. 

The renovation involves a completely new design of the blast furnace body, featuring an efficient, low-carbon furnace, upgraded cooling structure with proven and advanced technologies such as brick-wall integration applied, a full-recovery upgrade of the equalizing coal gas recovery system, and the addition of a shutdown coal gas recovery system, thereby fully achieving the renovation goals of energy conservation and carbon reduction. 

During the construction of the project, facing multiple challenges, such as a tight schedule, continuous work during the Spring Festival, construction in winter, limited site space, and cross operations by multiple contractors, CERI efficiently advanced the construction schedule while strictly adhering to safety standards and rigorously controlling engineering quality, fulfilling its solemn commitment to the client through practical actions.
