CERI Assisting Shandong Huichuang in Successful Test Run of 1,450mm High-Speed PL-TCM

Date:2026-01-13

On September 29, China’s cold rolling equipment manufacturing sector achieved a new speed milestone: Shandong Huichuang's 1,450mm six-stand, six-hi pickling line and tandem cold mill (PL-TCM) supplied by MCC Capital Engineering & Research Incorporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as “CERI”) completed a successful one-time test run and produced its very first coil. Core technical indicators such as steel coil surface quality, thickness tolerance, and shape all met precise standards, marking that China’s independently developed PL-TCM has officially advanced into the “1,800 m/min high-speed era.” As the first domestically produced 1,800 m/min high-speed PL-TCM independently developed by CERI, its successful test run not only set a new speed record for Chinese-made PL-TCM equipment but also showcased CERI’s cutting-edge expertise and industry leadership in cold rolling technology.

The PL-TCM features a core configuration supporting a maximum rolling speed of 1,800 m/min: the advanced shallow-tank turbulent pickling process combined with CERI’s third-generation six-stand, six-hi cold tandem rolling technology. It can process products in the 0.18–3.0 mm × 900–1300 mm range, with a production capacity of 1.5 Mt/a and a maximum screw-down rate of 94%. The PL-TCM is precisely engineered to meet the rigorous demands of the home appliance and automotive industries, with industry-leading technical indicators across the board.

Building on the Owner's trust and its own mature technical system, the CERI project team rigorously controlled quality at every stage—from design and manufacturing through to construction and installation. During the commissioning phase, the team efficiently coordinated all available resources and achieved a key milestone of transitioning from official power-up to hot load coil production in just one month.
