Recently, Guangxi Iron & Steel Group's 3800mm wide and thick plate rolling line, designed and supplied by Capital Engineering & Research Incorporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as "CERI"), successfully completed the test production of ultra-thin wide plates with an extreme thickness of 6 mm, a width of 3,120 mm, and a length exceeding 44 m. The plates feature excellent surface quality, precise thickness and shape control, and all mechanical properties meet technical specifications. This achievement represents a significant breakthrough for the production line in the field of ultra-thin, ultra-wide steel plate rolling, providing robust technical support for Liuzhou Steel Group's ongoing product portfolio optimization.

Solving Global Challenge of Ultra-thin Steel Plate Rolling
As the sole provider of the complete process equipment and commissioning services for the entire 3800mm Wide and Thick Plate Production Line of Guangxi Iron & Steel Group, CERI provides double-housing mills featuring outstanding rolling capacity and advanced high-precision shape control technology. Both the roughing mill and finishing mill have a rolling force of 85,000 kN and a stiffness exceeding 9,000 kN/mm. The use of an integrally cast, large-section housing and large-diameter (φ2200mm) supporting rolls enables substantial single-pass reductions, effectively shortening the number of rolling passes, supporting large reductions at lower temperatures, and ultimately enhancing the performance of the rolled products. The adoption of a multi-protection, undermounted hydraulic HAGC system promotes rolling stability and enables stepless adjustment of the rolling line elevation, significantly enhancing thickness control accuracy for plates and strips. The finishing mill is equipped with CERI's second-generation bending roll and roll shifting devices. The bending roll device utilizes patented multi-guide and constant full-stroke guide technology to effectively counteract lateral forces on the bending cylinder from various loads and ensure stable and reliable operation. The roll shifting device employs a flexible connection and full-stroke guide technology to prevent the influence of lateral forces and overturning moments and ensure smooth and reliable performance.
