The 20th Qingdao International Water Conference (2025) is hosted by the Qingdao Municipal People's Government and jointly supported by two major water associations, the International Water Association (IWA) and the World Water Council (WWC). CERI's "Energy-saving and Efficient Purification Device for Turbid Circulating Water from Steel Casting and Rolling Based on Residual Pressure Utilization" and "Henan Iron & Steel Group Integrated Wastewater Resource Recycling Project" won the awards of "Top 100 Excellent Products" and "Top 100 Typical Projects" in China's desalination industry in 2020. The two achievements are based on the water treatment needs of the steel industry and realize efficient utilization of water resources and pollutant emission reduction through technological innovation. They not only demonstrate CERI's profound accumulation in the field of water treatment for the iron and steel industry, but also provide replicable engineering examples for the green transformation of the steel industry.
At the special forum on industrial recycled water utilization convened by the Committee of Water Treatment and Reuse, Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, CERI delivered a keynote speech entitled Technical Innovation and Engineering Practice of Water Cycle in Iron and Steel Industry under New Situation. The report systematically reviews the development history of iron and steel enterprises using urban recycled water in the past 20 years, focuses on the company's technical exploration and scientific research results in the field of recycled water utilization in the iron and steel industry, shares the engineering practice of jointly promoting recycled water utilization with HBIS, Anyang Iron & Steel, Tianjin Steel and other companies, and discusses the development trend of recycled water utilization technology in the iron and steel industry, the construction of standard system and regional diversified circular economy system.
At the National Metallurgical Water Saving and Wastewater Utilization Technology Seminar convened by the Chinese Society for Metals, CERI delivered a keynote report on Technology Innovation and Application of Collaborative Resource Recycling of Concentrated Salt Wastewater and Smelting Waste Residue in Iron and Steel Enterprises. Aiming at the problem of concentrated salt wastewater treatment in the deep treatment of steel wastewater, the report innovatively proposes a collaborative resource system based on "double salt effect" and "four-coordinate isomorphism effect of silicon". The system achieves efficient and low-consumption treatment of concentrated salt wastewater through the coordinated treatment of wastewater and solid waste, and has verified its feasibility and economy in actual engineering applications, providing new ideas for the treatment of concentrated salt wastewater in the iron and steel industry and even municipal, new energy and other industries.
In the theme salon and media dialogue session, the chief expert of CERI introduced in detail the company's innovative practices in the construction of "industrial water network" and "urban water network", systematically elaborated on the core path to improve industrial water efficiency, and put forward ideas and suggestions for the future development of environmental industry.
