CERI's Self-developed Silicon Steel Pickling Line and Tandem Cold Mill was Put into Operation
Breaking the Technology Monopoly and Setting a Benchmark for Localization
For a long time, the core technology of high-end silicon steel production has been monopolized by foreign companies, becoming a bottleneck restricting the development of China's silicon steel industry. Faced with the growing domestic silicon steel market demand and continuously upgraded energy efficiency standards, CERI established a special technical research team based on decades of technical accumulation in the field of metallurgical engineering. Through continuous innovation and breakthroughs, it independently developed and launched the first completely domestically produced 1,550 mm high-speed silicon steel pickling line and tandem cold mill. The 1550 mm unit put into production this time innovatively incorporates the work roll shifting technology, adopts the composite application of work roll and intermediate roll shifting, and realizes the stable production of thin-gauge wide-width silicon steel. The product plate shape accuracy and transverse thickness difference have reached the international leading level, and the maximum rolling speed of the unit has reached 1,500 m/min. The overall technical indicators exceed similar imported equipment, providing strong equipment support for improving the competitiveness of China's silicon steel products.
