The achievements include the technology and equipment of an online dynamically adjusted high-strength steel wide and thick plate straightener with completely independent intellectual property rights. The straightener features higher shape control ability, wider straightening range, greater straightening force and higher straightening precision, contributing to improved production efficiency and reduced production cost. Its main innovations include:
1. Given the weak shape control ability of high-strength steel plate straighteners, the deformation characteristics of straighteners and complex wave straightening method are studied, and online dynamically adjusted multi-point bending roll compensation technology is developed to realize full plate width coverage and point-to-point accurate straightening of complex waves and enable an increase of thin steel plate straightness from ≤3mm/m to ≤2mm/m after straightening.
2. Given the limited straightening range for high-strength steel plates, an independent drive technology for straightening rolls has been developed, increasing the uniformity of the straightening torque distribution of each roll and widening the straightening range of high-strength steel plates from 8-30 mm to 6-40 mm.
3. Given insufficient straightening force for producing high-strength steel plates by existing straighteners, a complete set of ultra-high straightening force straightener equipment has been developed. It has "multiple rows of densely distributed high-bearing-capacity backup roll groups and ultra-high rigidity integral cast steel housings", increasing the maximum straightening force from 35,000 kN to 48,000 kN.
4. Given single control means and low straightening precision in the straightening process of high-strength steel plates, a high-precision straightening model is built, and a high-precision automation control system is developed, increasing control precision by more than 30%.
These achievements have been successfully applied in Bayuquan Project of Ansteel Group and other straightener projects, generating remarkable social, economic and environmental benefits and showing a broad prospect for popularization and application.
After full exchange and discussion, the experts of the evaluation committee reached a consensus that these achievements have reached the international advanced level as a whole, and the full plate width coverage and point-to-point accurate straightening of complex waves have reached the international leading level.
