At the end of 2023, Yue Wenyan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of CERI, along with a delegation, were invited to attend the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Xingcheng Special Steel & Strategic Partnership Fair.

The conference reviewed the glorious thirty-year journey of Xingcheng Special Steel while also looking ahead to the future. It aimed to collaborate with partners to jointly create a splendid vision of a century-long national brand for special steel. During the event, CERI was honored with the title of "Gold Medal Supplier".

CERI has always taken high-tech, high-quality innovation and development as its mission and responsibility. Collaborating with Xingcheng Special Steel, they have achieved several domestic and world-leading milestones.

In May 1998, under the overall design of CERI, with the concept of "four-in-one" short-process technology integrating electric furnaces, refining, continuous casting and continuous rolling, Phase I of Xingcheng Binjiang Plant was fully completed. This line became the first 100-ton level special steel production line in China.

In 2008, the large-scale round billet continuous casting machine (CCM) production line in Phase II of the Xingcheng Binjiang Plant, under the general contracting of CERI, was completed and put into operation. This line applied the first domestically produced φ1000mm large round billet CCM independently developed by CERI with completely independent intellectual property rights, becoming the world's largest cross-section round billet production line at that time.

Phase III of Xingcheng Binjiang Plant, entrusted to CERI for overall planning, design, and control integration, stands as the strategic project with the highest investment, largest scale, and highest automation level for Xingcheng Special Steel. On December 14, 2023, the World Economic Forum announced that CITIC Pacific Special Steel (Xingcheng Special Steel) was rated as the world's most advanced factory — the 'Lighthouse Factory', which is the only one in the Chinese Steel Industry and the first in the global special steel industry. CERI has received the best feedback for providing high-quality digital and intelligent engineering technology services to Xingcheng Special Steel. The milestone high-quality projects and equipment production lines served as a testament to the deep-rooted friendship between both parties forged through their collaboration.
