On October 28, the EPC project of 150,000 m³ high-pressure single-section rubber membrane sealed gas holder of Shanxi Xintai Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. undertaken by CERI was officially put into operation. This is an extra-large single-section rubber membrane gas holder with the highest pressure rating put into operation in the world at present, and also a new generation of gas holder products using domestic membranes successfully designed and developed independently in China.

The single-section high-pressure rubber membrane sealed gas holder is suitable for blast furnace gas and coke oven gas. Compared with the traditional thin oil sealed gas holder, the single-section high-pressure rubber membrane sealed gas holder has stable pressure and more stable operation, with no wastewater or waste oil discharge, and does not require steam tracing, which make it greener and more energy-saving. Additionally, it has greatly reduced construction time and operation and maintenance costs.

CERI has taken the lead in the technical development of single-section rubber membrane sealed gas holders in China, and its products have been successfully applied in many steel mills of companies such as HBIS Group, Baowu Group, Jianlong Group and Ansteel Group. CERI has by far obtained 14 utility model patents, 1 invention patent and many awards for its single-section rubber membrane sealed gas holders.
