Standard for Design of Energy Saving of Iron and Steel Enterprise(s) edited by CERI won the Standard Science and Technology Innovation Award

On September 10, the China Association of Engineering Construction Standardization held the "Standard Science and Technology Innovation Award" ceremony for 2023, where the "Design of Energy Saving of Iron and Steel Enterprise(s)" GB 50632-2019, which was edited by CERI, won the third prize for Standard Science and Technology Innovation. It was the only awarded standard in the metallurgical industry this year.


"Design of Energy Saving of Iron and Steel Enterprise(s)" is the only energy-saving design standard in China that covers the entire process of iron and steel. This standard focuses on improving the energy conversion efficiency of iron and steel enterprises, enhancing the value of energy conversion, and emphasizes the importance of energy saving during the design stage of the project's full lifecycle, thereby improving the energy-saving level of steel projects. The implementation of this standard promotes the advancement and application of advanced energy-saving technology. By strengthening energy-saving management, making reasonable use and conversion of energy, effectively recovering and utilizing the excess energy produced in the manufacturing process, it improves energy utilization efficiency, enhances the energy-saving design level of new steel projects, and promotes the progress of energy-saving technology.
