On August 25th at 02:16 pm, the first batch of molten iron in the blast furnace was successfully released. On the 27th at 01:16 pm, the first batch of molten steel in the #1 converter had its successful output. On the 27th at 10:58 pm, the first medium-bar heating furnace in the steel rolling project successfully rolled the first finished bar. So far, Linyi Iron and Steel Investment Group Special Steel Co. Ltd., which is contracted by CERI EPC, has completed the whole process Flow I Series of the 2.7 million tons of high-quality special steel project, which has been fully connected and put into full-scale hot commissioning and production. This marks the official entry of the Linyi Superior Special Steel Base project into the production stage. At present, all indicators are normal, and the whole plant is running safely and smoothly.

The Series I project mainly includes a fully enclosed raw material yard, two 198㎡ sintering machines, one 2,770 m³ blast furnace, one 120t converter, one set of LF refining facilities, one square-round billet continuous casting machine, one medium rod, and supporting public and auxiliary facilities of the whole plant. After the project is completed and starts production, it can achieve an annual output value of RMB 15 billion, tax revenue of RMB 1.5 billion, and create more than 4,000 new jobs. It will set an example in the 14 million tons of high-end stainless steel and advanced special steel manufacturing industry cluster in Lingang of Linyi, bringing valuable benefits to the regional economy.

This project is the largest, long-process, high-quality special steel production base newly built in China in the past ten years. It is a significant sign of the high-quality development of Shandong Province's transformation of old and new models. At the same time, as the largest metallurgical project under construction by China Minmetals Group, and the largest domestic single general contracting project in the history of the metallurgical project of China Metallurgical Group - this project created the first special steel base in the metallurgical industry has been undertaken, implemented and built at one time by a single engineering company, promoted the companies to take solid steps on the road of high-tech, high-quality innovation and development.
