On Nov. 14th , the review meeting of project about high-speed bar completion between CERI and Binxin Iron&Steel in Jiangsu was organized successfully at the office building of Binxin Steel Group.

Each parties of owner gave a good appraisal for this project, and thought that the project of double high-speed bar in Binxin has reached to the domestic leading level, and meets the requirement of completion acceptance. This project is another success cooperation between CERI and Binxin Steel Group after No.4 and No.5 double high-speed bar production lines.

As a representative project of Binxin Steel Group to promote high-quality development, Binxin double high-speed bar project carries the functions of Binxin Steel Group to adapt to the market, save energy and reduce consumption and optimize product structure, etc. CERI undertakes the engineering design, core equipment supply, electrical equipment supply, electromechanical installation and commissioning of the project, and has applied a series of advanced core technologies such as key technology of the flexible 45m/s high-speed bar with independent intellectual property rights, 1300 tons cut-to-length cold shearing, finish rolling with low temperature and post-rolling graded water cooling, enhanced 230 series modular rolling mill and automatic control system of double high-speed bar production, etc.

The project is a reconstruction and expansion project, and many strict boundary conditions, such as the limitation of the site, the constraints of simultaneous production and construction and the need to relocate and modify various medium pipelines, have brought great difficulties in the design and construction. In particular, the 24m room cross building is the narrowest workshop of double high-speed bar in the nation. However, through continuous discussions, demonstrations, on-site measurements and further demonstrations between CERI and the owner of Binxin , from process innovation to equipment selection, from workshop recycling to space reservation, from initial design to construction implementation , so that Binxin double high-speed bar project has achieved one breakthrough after another in the domestic rod and wire rolling field.

Application of innovative rolling process and advanced technology lays solid foundation for the production and operation of the Binxin double high-speed line with high quality, high efficiency, low consumption and low cost. So far, the highest steel production speed can reach to 45.2m/s in the Binxin double high-speed bar production line, the indicators such as rolling speed, output and alloy reduction are fully in the leading position in China.
