Recently, the construction of intercity railway of Nanjing-Chongzuo has pressed the overall “acceleration button”, the axis underground space square of Chongzuo South Station Complex Project designed by CERI was fully capped.The project has realized the comprehensive connection between the central axis square (south area and north area) and the station square as well as the underground parking, which marks the formation of the main system of the project's underground space engineering structure, and is the most critical step for the realization of the overall functional design and construction effect of the project.

1.6 billion RMB has been invested into the the construction of the Chongzuo South Station complex project. The construction content includes the station square, the central axis underground space and commerce, multi-purpose networks for underground pipelines in cities, the municipal road network, the station bridge, the station tourist distribution center, station bus hub, urban landscape and parks and ancillary advertising facilities, etc. The project is the first self-invested and constructed intercity high-speed railway in Guangxi.

During the process of project design, the project groups have made precise investment to fully guarantee the project design work. The standardized design management has realized the efficient linkage of multi-department and multi-areas. Team with excellent technical level fully ensures the quality of project design and construction. In the project design, the co-construction is performed for large-area structures (square garage, urban pipe gallery, cross-street passage, underground space business, commercial land connection passages, etc.), numerous breakthroughs have been made at the aspects of technologies, such as large-area underground space heterogeneous structure, anti-floating of large-area underground structure with high water level, treatment of typical karst foundation and support, heterosexual micro-topographic landscape and urban lighting, etc. And valuable experience has also been accumulated. At the same time, new technologies such as BIM are used for the collaborative design of the project that has greatly improved the project design efficiency, quality control, cost control and construction services, etc. the series of  new technologies like smart gallery, smart transportation and smart city have played a higher role in promoting the project quality and city development. At present, blueprints such as the station square and the central axis sunken underground space commercial square are taking shape at the station square in the new city area of Chongzuo High-speed Railway. The project has been fully entered into the construction stage of equipment installation, decoration, ground paving and landscape engineering. All construction content of the project is scheduled to be completed before June 30th this year and put into commissioning simultaneously with the high-speed rail.
